dockerized jupyterq
Hi everyone!
I’m a qbie exploring q and kdb+, and I wanted to share something that might be helpful to others starting out. While trying to set up JupyterQ, I discovered that the official Docker image hasn’t been updated in a few years and I couldn’t get it running properly.
To solve this, I created a dockerized jupyter environment for q, following the manual installation steps for JupyterQ. I’ve shared the setup in this GitHub repository:
https://github.com/hablapps/jupyterq-docker
This image doesn’t include any software from Kx Systems — you’ll need to obtain the q distribution and a valid license separately. The repository just provides the Dockerfile and setup instructions to build your own container.
I’d love to hear feedback or suggestions! Are there better ways to set up JupyterQ, or are there alternative environments people recommend?
Thanks in advance!
