kdb+ with Linux OS
Hi all,
I have been using kdb+ for a couple of months, and after some initial difficulties, I must say that I am very pleased with it! It’s really very efficient.
Specifically, I use a VPS server where I have several Python/kdb+ scripts for the storage and real-time processing of data for trading strategies.
The model is still under development, and over time I have realized that working with the classic Windows operating system is very limiting.
I have approached Linux; personally, I have never used it before, and I have just started with a dedicated course. My question is as follows:
Which type of Linux is most suitable for an infrastructure of this kind?
The main distinction, if I’m not mistaken, is between Ubuntu and AlmaLinux (RHEL).
Which of the two models is more suitable? I would like to have a technical opinion to get guidance on which one is preferable to use considering a kdb+ ecosystem dedicated to real-time processing, analysis, and database management.
Thank you
