  • Hello,

From my limited understanding, i might because

    1.  answer 5(control + webserver) is  given to prompt “select Node Type” during installation

    2. the hostname of the server is assigned to “DELTACONTROL_REMOTEHOST” in delta.profile  &  the same value is assigned to ENV variables like “*_b_Host” in delta.instance.profile.

    regards,

Hello Everyone,   the attached is exported package which includes a single example that shows the basic idea of this post.   Please have a try (rename the attachment to pkg_evntCallBck.zip and import this into kxplatform) and let me know if you can make overwritten function works

There are two instances in this example, both of them loads overwritten event call back functions during start up.  A test case could be:  hopen from one to the other and observe whether event functions are called.

I think i know the answer: when the checkBox is checked,  non-Config type instance-parameters would NOT work on instances’s task.  This kind of “tricky”,  wondering what is the good of this?

    Hello Luck,

    Thank you for the answer.

    “numactl –cpubind=0 –membind=0,1 q blablabla…”

This is a good practice to start a raw-kdb, to my understanding.

Well, what i am trying to ask is :

when we wanna start a task of an instance in kx-platform(w r using v4.5.0), we can  right-click on the task and select “RUN”.   Therefore which instance’s RESERVED PARAM(e.g host/port/taskSet/enableIPSharding/memLimit …) i can edit so that when we “RUN” the task, it works just as start a raw-kdb process in the way as you suggested.

the best and wish you a great weekend!

    Hello Luke ,

Thank you very much for the above helpful answers.

I would like to ask how to start a q instance/task in kx-platform with specified numactrl command?

    best,
